“‘The Weekend’ – a perfect time to kick back from the week, enjoy a spot of light activity and indulge in brunch at your favourite local spot….”
I often walk Daisy, a very friendly Labrador who lives locally and we’ve decided to explore dog friendly venues in #SELondon. We enjoyed a visit to The Archie Parker, a dog friendly cafe in Forest Hill.
#SELondonBlog tells you more
Good service and a quick no hassle, satisfyingly simple menu. Get in, pick a table you like and get ordering. We sat out the back with Daisy as there was a bit more room for her there even though she ended up under the table! We met Zoe one half of this ‘dream turned into reality’ coffee shop and sandwich bar. The team are really friendly which made our visit even better.
Archie Parker provides a great range of breakfast brunch and sandwiches, served on a variety of breads, there is something for everyone and a price for all budgets. The team are adamant that you will be served the best quality produce, with the food being sourced by local companies based in south east London.
I dived – literally head first – into The Reubenesque, a loaded grilled sarnie with pastrami, sauerkraut, Emmenthal cheese, pickles and more – deliciously mouth watering and a melt in the mouth treat. My friend opted for the spinach Frittata sourced from Blackbird Bakeries, fresh light and very tasty.
The Archie Parker is situated on Dartmouth Road in Forest Hill. The front of the shop invites you in while the interior and back room has a simple yet funky 60, 70s vibe, its bright, light and inviting. There is artwork displayed on the walls from local artists, work that is rotated approximately every six weeks so well worth getting in contact if your are a local artist keen to show your work. When we visited there was a pop up flower shop at the front too, so we grabbed a delicious brunch and a plant #doublewin!
They also host a variety of events so check out what’s on in the news section on their website.
