Twice a year the fashion glitterati grace us with their presence at London Fashion Week and can I ever get a ticket, hell no!
Well my prayers have been answered. Let me introduce you to one of the fashion capitals of South London, Forest Hill.
This years show, set to feature established, up-and-coming designers, is organised by Forest Hill Arts. A group of volunteers from local shops, cafés, bars, other venues and community interest groups who have created an exciting line-up of fashion-themed events to illustrate Forest Hill’s community spirit, creativity, love of sharing and commitment to high street regeneration.
Crepe Records is set to return this year with a new ethical fashion label that mixes music with fashion. They are going to curate the soundtrack for the show with an exclusive warm-up dj-set – sounds funky!
Strike a pose in the vintage photo booth at Wild Horses…. Have a rummage through their fabulous trunk of threads and get dressed up in a new vintage look. The team will be on hand to take your photo ready for you to share with your friends when you leave.
Take a visit to SoLo Craft Fair who on Saturday 24th September 11-6pm will open their doors at the V22 Community Centre on Dartmouth Road to local designers, vintage clothes traders, as well as plenty of other artisan stalls holders selling products such as greeting cards, art, homeware, jewellery and more!
