It’s that time of year – summer [no heckling] – when there’s a wonderful abundance of fun activities and events taking place in your local area. Well I’ve just found out about a little gem that is Brixton’s Children’s Market taking place this Saturday 29 June.
Organised by the Brixton Market Traders Federations with funding from London Community Foundation, there’ll be workshops and activities for children aged 3-12. Sing-a-long with Ruby Rhymes, pull a rabbit or two out of a hat at Magic Simons Magic show, dabble in flower planting, classic games sessions and workshops run by the traders.
Most activities are free, some will require a small donation.
There will also be information stalls from some wonderful local children’s projects and services, and traders selling treats and treasure for everyone young and young at heart.
Brixton Station Road is embracing the street market culture and they want to make sure children and parents of young children can be included and are engaged in the fun!
